We hit the road on May 29th, 2008 with one idea in mind: take a snapshot of the car and the road culture in the US, press the pause button and just look at the situation today.

From Boston to San Francisco, we spent some time at trucks stops, talked to sport-cars fans, went to a car show, stopped at different garages on the road, and even met a pedestrian advocate…
Our ultimate goal was to meet people. We’ve filmed their love affair with their cars, their life on the road… And asked ourselves whether these relationships were changing or not.
We left Boston with the idea that because of the explosion of the gas prices, we might be living the last ten years of THE American car; the end of the big and noisy charismatic engines.
After one month on the road, we were back to our native town: Paris, France.
In a series of short portraits, we’ll introduce some of the people we met.
